Raleigh SPG Gives Back with North East Wake Backpack Buddies

On the evening of Wednesday, June 10th, the Raleigh Samet Professional Group came together for a truly special volunteer opportunity with North East Wake Backpack Buddies. Backpack Buddies is dedicated to making sure kids in our community don’t go home hungry on the weekends. Many of the students they serve rely on free or reduced school meals during the week, and Backpack Buddies steps in to fill that gap so kids can focus on learning instead of worrying about where their next meal is coming from.
The Raleigh region showed up in a big way ahead of the event, collecting over 2,300 food items through a food drive to bring along as donations. Then the SPG team rolled up their sleeves and packed over 700 bags of food for local students to take home. It was a great evening of community, purpose, and giving back to the area we call home. So proud of this group!
