We foster a culture of care rooted in trust, collaboration, education, and accountability through The Samet Way. Safety is both a Core Value and a driving force behind our operations, and we maintain best-in-class standards across all projects. Our commitment is evident in our outstanding safety record, with a current EMR of .48—well below industry average. Every Samet team member actively participates in preventing injuries and mitigating hazards to ensure safe and successful project delivery. Our Safe Management System, aligned with all regulatory safety standards, is a strict requirement for all work at Samet.Â
SAFETY WEEK
Every year, we pause to recommit to the principles that keep our people safe. Safety Week is a time to reflect, retrain, and reinforce the habits that protect everyone on and off the job site.
PROTECTING OUR PEOPLE AND OUR PROJECTS
Using a best-in-class platform, we pre-qualify trade partners to ensure top standards of quality and reliability. Our Safe Start Strategic Review process drives early planning and safe-delivery strategies. Safety practices include pre-task plans, permits-to-work, and thorough orientations. Regular inspections and incident investigations support continuous improvement.Â
Our project-level Most Valuable Asset (MVA) program reflects our dedication to team member safety and well-being. The project Safety Committee drives initiatives that enhance safety, utilizing tools like Procore and Power BI for performance management, data collection, and trend analysis. Additionally, Samet’s Safety Team implements our Safe Summer with Samet initiative every year by holding cold fruit serving events while delivering an efficient and caring message on Heat Illness prevention to all men and women in the frontline, helping keep teams hydrated. Welfare Areas at each site offer spaces to sit, eat, and meet, underscoring our care and respect for our workers.Â
