PTI Run on the Runway 2026

About

GSO Builders, a joint venture between Samet and Aero Bridgeworks, proudly returned as a First Class Sponsor of the PTI 5K/10K Run on the Runway on Saturday, March 28.

This annual event benefits three organizations fighting hunger in the Piedmont Triad: Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina, Greensboro Urban Ministry, and Open Door Ministries of High Point. It also gives our team a chance to come together, get active, and apparently, test the limits of human cold tolerance.

Let’s talk about the weather. The wind was whipping down that runway like it had a personal vendetta, and there was not a tree, a building, or a single act of mercy to block it. Nine thousand feet of wide-open pavement with nowhere to hide and nothing between you and the wind. It was the kind of cold that makes you seriously reconsider every decision that led you to this moment.

Despite all of that, our team showed up and represented:

Runners
— Eric Lippert (10K) – 3rd place in his age group 🏅
— Matt McCoy
(10K)
— Scott Robinson (5K, with daughter Reese)
— Brian Lambert (5K)

Walkers
— Chris Chambers
— Kelle Coble (with son Jackson)
— Samantha Clinard
— Leah Marley

Volunteers
— Lauren Evans (with daughter Andie who also walked)
— Loyd Johnson
— Brently Boyte (with son Bo)

Thanks to everyone who ran, walked, cheered, and shivered their way through the morning for a great cause. We’re proud to support our community and to keep building strong connections both on and off the job site – preferably somewhere heated next time.
