Charlotte Interns Spend the Day with Safety

About

Our Charlotte interns Adam Kozianowski, David Cotterill, Grace Rainey, and Steven Nunez Reyes had a busy, hands-on day learning about Safety. We built on our Safeguarding Families culture, explored our Safety management system, and visited several project sites to see how activities are planned and carried out with care.

We kicked things off at the Charlotte office with an overview of how we prequalify trade partners and an introduction to the upcoming Safe Summer with Samet Heat Illness Awareness campaign.

Our first stop in the field was Panorama Falcon. The team and Steven Tartaglione facilitated a site walk, including a tower crane climb the interns were excited about, and highlighted key safety measures to keep hoisting operations running smoothly. The interns also got to check out the MEVA formwork system in action.

Next, we went to Centre South where Thorin Medford and the team gave a great project overview and took us on a site walk showing progress on underground utilities. The attention to detail and project setup were impressive! It’s clear this project is on the path to success.

Finally, we visited Sedgefield III where Sam Bennett took us for a tour of current and upcoming work. It was great to see the project about to go vertical!

We ended the day back at the office with a recap and Q&A session. The interns were engaged and asked lots of questions, which made the day even better. Wishing everyone a fantastic summer, keep being curious and asking questions. That’s how you learn and grow!
