Brian Sampson NameD TBJ 40 Under 40 Honoree

About

Congratulations to Brian Sampson for being selected as one of Triangle Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Leadership Award winners for 2026!

This prestigious award honors his many accomplishments in business as well as his contributions to the community, and it is well deserved.

In 2025 alone, Brian closed out two big projects for Samet: Gladwen Wendell Falls Apartments, a $70M, 315-unit multifamily development, and The Rowe (Park City South), a $100M mixed-use development, both delivered with the quality and precision our clients expect. He was also promoted to Senior Superintendent and selected to attend the Maximizing My Leadership Potential program at the Center for Creative Leadership.

Beyond the field, Brian serves on advisory boards at NC A&T State University and Wake Technical Community College, where he mentors the next generation of construction professionals. He is deeply involved in his community through Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc., where he serves as the National Director of Alumni Affairs, and through ongoing volunteer work with the NAACP, the American Red Cross, the Ronald McDonald House, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Brian joined Samet as a Superintendent I and has earned two promotions in five years. This award is a reflection of the dedication, leadership, and character he brings to every project and every community he touches. Please join us in congratulating Brian on this well-deserved honor!
