Located at the mouth of the Caper Fear River adjacent to Carolina Beach, the Riverlights Fire Station is one of New Hanover County’s most up-and-coming developments. This will be the City’s first fire station constructed in a residential neighborhood, and it was designed with the Riverlights community in mind.

The materials, color palette, and architectural details are all inspired by the Riverlights style and design aesthetic. The 12,669 SF station will house three apparatus bays with decontamination, storage, and gear rooms within the overall bay. Firefighters will have a new home complete with sleeping quarters, a fitness room, men’s and women’s locker rooms, a lounge, a kitchen, and offices.
