On Monday, December 9, Samet joined City of Durham and County officials, staff, residents, and community partners to celebrate the groundbreaking ceremony for the Durham Station Revitalization Project. 

These exciting upgrades will enhance rider safety, comfort, and accessibility while supporting future growth for Durham’s transit system, which serves approximately 14,000 riders daily.

In partnership with W.C. Construction, our team will upgrade the existing bus facilities by adding enhanced canopies, additional restrooms, integrated seating, and a modern service kiosk. The project also includes expanding the number of bus bays from 20 to 28 to accommodate Go-Durham’s growing route network. While these improvements take shape, the existing transit station will remain fully operational, requiring careful planning of the project’s phasing and logistics to ensure its success.
