CM@RiskThe Durham Transit Center Improvements project involves the rehabilitation of the existing bus facilities, including enhancements to the bus island with additional shade canopies, public restrooms, integrated seating, and a new customer service and security kiosk. The project relocates the kiss-and-ride area, repairs pavement, and expands the number of bus bays from 20 to 28, boosting transit service capacity to support GoDurham’s route expansion. These upgrades, funded by a $10.8 million federal grant and a $2.7 million local match, improve transit accessibility, comfort, and efficiency for the community, providing a more convenient and reliable public transportation experience.
