At Samet, our commitment to excellence shines through even in the face of challenges. This dedication was evident in our recent success with Project TAB in Hanover County, VA.
Our task? Construct two new, mirrored industrial buildings totaling 400,500 SF on a 51.74-acre site along Washington Highway, just north of Richmond. While the scope seemed straightforward, Mother Nature had other plans—delivering 20 inches of rain in just 50 days during the early phases of construction. These unprecedented weather conditions significantly delayed the project’s start.
But at Samet, challenges only fuel our determination. Our team made a bold pledge to meet the original project deadline despite the setbacks. Through relentless hard work and a commitment to operational excellence, they delivered outstanding results.
This remarkable effort earned high praise from Brandon Turner, Hanover County’s Economic Development Director, who shared:
“This winter I had a meeting with Samet; it was shortly after they commenced with grading for this project. They told me the project would be completed by the original project deadline. I was like…okay, big project and short amount of time, we shall see. Well, thanks to their impressive and highly skilled team (and a little good luck from the weather gods) for proving me wrong!! These two buildings are just a hair from completion, representing 200,250 SF of space each. This project will add a total of 400,500 SF of needed flex space to the Hanover/Richmond market. So if you know of someone in need of space along Highway 1 near I-95, let me know! And special thanks to Samet for being so good to work with. It’s been a pleasure and a great project!”
We’re proud of our team’s dedication, resilience, and embodiment of The Samet Way in overcoming obstacles to deliver exceptional results. We look forward to seeing the ways this new facility serves the Hanover and Richmond market.
