CM@RiskIn collaboration with the City of Greensboro, Samet completed a seven-story parking deck offering a total of 948 parking spaces for city-goers. This sizeable structure is conveniently located in the heart of the city’s downtown area, adjacent to the First National Bank Field ballpark, providing convenient access for all.
To accommodate the new parking deck, Samet undertook the partial demolition of an adjacent mental health clinic, which was operational 24/7. Despite these complexities, Samet successfully delivered the parking deck, demonstrating expertise and commitment to enhancing community infrastructure.
The Samet team, in my opinion, did an outstanding job at managing and navigating the known and unknown problems faced throughout the selective demolition and reconstruction process. They were proactive, communicated frequently, brought solutions to the table for consideration and were sensitive to the project budget, schedule and tenants throughout the process… During the entire process, Samet was also navigating the preparations for, and construction of, the new parking deck at the same time.
