Millions of Americans across the United States celebrated Juneteenth on Wednesday, and Samet associates joined in to support one of the largest celebrations in the Triad region.

Samet volunteers participated in the Piedmont Triad Farmers Market Juneteenth SOULebration, assisting with various activities such as vendor setup and breakdown, providing event information, assembling beaded bracelet kits, creating Juneteenth bracelets, and managing trash pickup and disposal.

Samet also proudly sponsored the event stage and the kids’ craft area.

These volunteer efforts and sponsorships were organized by Samet’s Employee Resource Group, Women At Work. This group is dedicated to promoting equity in career advancement and amplifying the voices of women at Samet, fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture for all employees.

“A sincere and heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to and participated in our annual Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Raffle Fundraiser Thursday night,” said Swink. “Because of your generosity, we exceeded our fundraising goal, collecting a total of $11,000!”
