Design/Build

  • As part of a catalyst to grow downtown High Point, the City Council voted in favor of building a multi-use stadium that could support year-round sporting events, entertainment and public events. Samet and O’Dell Architects became the city’s chosen design/build team for the first project, a 294,950 SF baseball stadium that is home to the High Point Rockers.

  • The stadium’s design, located on seven acres in the heart of downtown, seats approximately 5,000 for baseball games and 7,500 for concerts/events.

  • Two owners suites are included, as well as four concession stands, a club house and full kitchen restaurant. Amenities and attractions are spaced around the 360-degree concourse. The themed stadium has ties with local culture and serves as a base for future growth by adding retail, hotel, residential, office and food establishments in downtown High Point.

Samet has done an incredible job. At a time when other projects have gone up considerably in cost, we applaud the team at Samet for finding ways not just to build a quality product within budget, but to deliver a better product through value engineering.
