The month of May was an eventful one for Samet after we were selected to oversee not one, but two airport projects.
For the first project, Samet will be tasked with building a new terminal for Statesville Airport. The terminal will total 19,300 SF and include office spaces on the first and second floor, with a third floor open for shell space, event space, tenant space, or a restaurant. The project is valued between $8 – $10 million and is slated to break ground this fall.

The second airport project entails building a new, larger hanger for Smith Reynolds Airport. Located just north of Winston-Salem, NC, the new hanger floor will be approximately 55,000 SF with an additional 8,500 SF of space set aside for offices and a workshop area. Construction is expected to begin in April of 2024, wrapping up in 2025.
For both projects, Samet will be collaborating with Lindsey Architecture and Gilgeours Construction.
